Open Innovations forum was held and VEB Ventures was one of the participants.
Project overview
For the online forum, we designed a VEB Ventures web platform. On the website, visitors could watch an interactive presentation, play fun games, and talk about their business ideas in the feedback section.
VEB Ventures is a company that is involved in venture capital investing, in other words, it means long term and high-risk financing. Sounds quite complicated, doesn't it? VEB Ventures explains how to invest money and is ready to work with new companies and people, so that is why the slogan "Simpler than we seem" was created. The goal of the Open Innovations 2020 forum was to introduce the company to people and attract new customers.

Idea and approach
We decided against the overly formal and outdated stylistics and aimed at a younger audience, for that we added more dynamism and metaphors. A cube became the main symbol of the project, it shows the versatility of VEB Ventures. As the participants of the event learn more about the company, they discover other metaphors, such as the red filter or the exciting game in which VEB Ventures together with the clients can overcome all possible challenges.

Website
The web page can be opened both on the phone and on the computer, which allows more visitors to learn about VEB Ventures. We offer the participants to engage in game-like activities, so they can learn more about investing and explore the rather difficult issue of financing their business.

Interactive Presentation
To introduce the company to the participants we created an interactive presentation. In the center of the webpage, there was a cube that rotated depending on a mouse movement from one section to another. There were seven sections of the presentation in which the visitors could learn about VEB Ventures, its strategies and achievements. We worked with the information and text carefully, as conveying the idea of the project and drawing attention to the values of the company were very important for us. The presentation was made using the Unity game engine, which allowed us to create complex animation and add music to dive deeper into the content.

Simpler than we seem
We decided to combine an art installation with a video presentation for the online format. The versatility of VEB Ventures was shown through animated images with infographics that outline the aspects of company activities related to urban planning, healthcare, sports, and biotechnology. We deliberately placed a layer on the video sequence to make it difficult to watch. Visitors could actually see the "Simpler than we seem" idea by turning on the red spectrum filter, for that the participants had to scan the QR code on their devices. The filter became the epitome of the company's approach to solving problems: it removed visual pollution and left only the necessary information.

Full Speed To Your Future
Also, we created the game Full speed to your future, it helped us to convey the message of the company. All entrepreneurs face obstacles on the way to success, but all difficulties can be overcome with the assistance of a reliable partner, such as VEB Ventures. The point of the game is to cut the randomly flying cubes without hitting the bombs and get as many points as possible. One round lasts for a minute, then the participants can see their points.

Doktor Ryadom Game
VEB Ventures made a deal with the medical company Doktor Ryadom, which was a particularly timely move during the pandemic. The advantage of telemedicine is that one only needs their phone to make a video call and be examined by a doctor. We created a game that has a new perspective on a doctor's appointment, shows a glimpse of the future and increases brand awareness. The game has three levels during which the users assess their memory, attention and reaction time. To make the game interesting we created the achievement system: on each level the user could get up to three rewards, which motivated the participants to go through the game again and again until they earned all achievements possible. At the end of the game, all participants received a promo code for a doctor appointment, which expired after the end of the forum.
